That is exactly what I like about velpTEC: Here, we see technology as an opportunity to reshape education.
Who are you and what do you do at velpTEC?
I’m Terence, I’m 30, and I’ve been working in content production at velpTEC for almost a year and a half. Together with my manager, I handle the organization and production of our courses—from planning new training offerings and revisions to quality assurance.
I also work on various projects, such as our VR project, interactive learning paths, and building a learning content library.
Our work is primarily based on academic research using specialized literature and established theory. We use AI as a supporting tool, but we always critically evaluate the results. At the same time, our producers bring practical experience directly from their professional lives, ensuring our courses are both scientifically sound and highly practical.
In close collaboration with our industry partners, we continuously develop new courses and strategically expand our training catalog.
What was your journey like with us?
Right after finishing my degree in educational science with a focus on adult education and professional development, I started as a trainee at velpTEC. From the very beginning, I was given responsibility and was able to quickly bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Through further training and coaching, I have been able to continuously develop both professionally and personally. I especially value the trust placed in me and the opportunity to take on more responsibility step by step.
I originally applied for a different trainee position in the delivery department. However, during the interview process, it quickly became clear that my strengths were a better fit for content production. That is exactly what I appreciate about velpTEC: people are placed in roles that align with their skills.
As of this month, I am leading our team as Head of Production—a step that shows just how much trust and growth are possible at velpTEC.

Who has been particularly supportive of you on your journey?
My manager has been a great source of support. Thanks to their many years of industry experience, I have been able to learn a great deal both professionally and personally. At the same time, I have always been given the freedom to try things out for myself and learn from my mistakes.
I also value the open, peer-to-peer communication. My opinions and assessments have always been taken seriously and actively incorporated.
Many colleagues and managers from other departments have also supported me. Whenever I had questions or faced challenges, I could always rely on the team's experience and support.
Why is velpTEC the right fit for you?
I believe that education needs to be approached in a more flexible and modern way today. Many traditional education systems still make too little use of technologies like AI and modern learning approaches. That is exactly what I like about velpTEC: here, we see technology as an opportunity to reshape education – with flexible learning formats, educational videos, and practical content. Since I am tech-savvy myself and find innovation exciting, I can really identify with this vision.
What do you like most about your work at velpTEC?
What I like most is that the work at velpTEC is very dynamic and we can respond flexibly to new challenges. I feel that I can really make a difference, take on responsibility, and play an active role in shaping things.
The meaningful aspect of our work is particularly important to me. With our further education programs, we help people create new perspectives and advance their careers or get back into the workforce. That is exactly the important contribution we make at velpTEC.
